A lightly browned slice of bread that’s been brushed with coconut oil, an indulgent smear of brown sugar cream cheese, juicy, sweet strawberries and a chocolate drizzle for Brown Sugar Strawberry Crostinis.

We’ve stated for years that we adore our readers and getting to know them on a greater private level, but even more cool is that we turn to our network for recommendation even over Google. (sorry google, please don’t hate us.) these Brown Sugar Strawberry Crostinis are the first of many recipes with a purpose to come directly from all of you!
Final month we announced that you can be featured on oh sweet basil and we were given any such first rate response of your favored recipes to attempt! We snagged one from Kerri, and genuinely fell in love with her Brown Sugar Strawberry Crostinis!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 baguette (cut into 1/4-1/2" slices)
- Coconut Oil
- 2 lbs fresh strawberries
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
- 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 Tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla
- Toppings of choice, chocolate, powdered sugar, whipped cream etc
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Chop the strawberries into small pieces and location them a bowl with about a tablespoon of white sugar. Stir to coat the strawberries. allow them to sit down inside the refrigerator to macerate for 15-60 minutes.
- Set your oven to high Broil. spread coconut oil on both sides of each slice of baguette. see note
- Set all of the portions of bread on a cookie sheet in one layer. Broil them on the first aspect for approximately three-4 mins or till golden brown. Then flip them over and broil the other side for an extra 2-three mins or till golden brown. Set them apart to cool absolutely.
- combination collectively the cream cheese, brown sugar, powdered sugar, and vanilla till clean and creamy.
- once the toasted baguettes are absolutely cooled, unfold a few cream cheese combination onto each piece. Then pinnacle each piece with a spoonful of strawberries. I advocate the use of a slotted spoon to empty off the juice from the strawberries.
- pinnacle with a drizzle of your favorite form of chocolate, or dust with powdered sugar, or simply leave them simple.
