PERFECT CHOCOLATE WAFFLES RECIPE

Perfect chocolate waffles are easy to form reception in about 30 minutes! The waffles are crispy outside, with a soft and rich chocolate inside!

Like my other waffles, this is often Belgian style, but super simple to make! They came out nice and crispy outside and that they were light and fluffy inside. The chocolate flavor is out of this world also . They almost taste like Brownie, but, they're not too sweet in the least . it's so decadent topped with a touch chocolate sauce , topping , and strawberries!

For anyone who hasn't made homemade waffles before, I've included a number of the method images below to assist guide you thru the method . It only takes about 10 minutes to place this together!

Your dough may look a touch viscous, and it's OK. Next, you'll want to heat up your waffle iron. Since iron waffles are all different, please heat and cook waffles consistent with the manufacturer's direction. for instance , my iron waffle makes two great waffles at just one occasion and that i use about 3/4 a cup of dough per waffle. However, you'll vary.

This recipe generally makes anywhere from 6-10 waffles. you'll keep it within the refrigerator for 2 days, or freeze them within the freezer bag for about 3 weeks. they're best heated in an oven at a coffee temperature of 250 degrees for about 10 minutes.

PERFECT CHOCOLATE WAFFLES RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Large Eggs, Separated
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Coffee
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your waffle iron, spray with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a medium bowl beat the egg whites with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  4. In a separate medium bowl mix together the egg yolks, vegetable oil, milk, coffee if using, and vanilla extract.
  5. Add the egg yolk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. Fold in the egg whites.
  7. Pour the batter onto your hot waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's directions**
  8. Serve immediately with butter, syrup, powdered sugar or any other favorite toppings.
